The Nurse Assistant course is called NURC 101 and it is a prerequisite for all nursing programs at Columbus Community College. This means that you can use this 5 credit course towards your LPN or RN nursing degree from Columbus CC and you can work as a Nurse Assistant in the mean time. This is a great way to build your work experience and your education at the same time while making money.

Cuyahoga Community College offers a State Tested Nursing Assistant training program that will really prepare you to start working in the health care field and train you as an effective Nursing Assistant.
This comprehensive program covers 104 hours of training. The two courses involved in the program are the Nursing Assistant course and a special 4 hour exam preparation course that will help you to pass the state exam.
Once you pass the state exam you can start working in hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, and other health care facilities. Nurse Assistants are part of a medical team that cares for patients.
