The Job Council offers a Certified Nursing Assistant program for young people who are interested in starting their careers in healthcare. The Rouge Valley YouthCare program is a nine month healthcare training program that will prepare you for an entry level position, like that of a Nursing Assistant.

CNAs work in hospitals and nursing homes under the supervision of Registered Nurses. They care directly for patients and help them with daily activities like feeding, hygiene, dressing, personal care, mobility and more.

Treasure Valley Community College

Treasure Valley Community College in Ontario, OR offers a Certified Nursing Assistant training program with a number of different scheduling options so that you can train for your new career at a time that works for you!

The class meets every Tuesday and Thursday or Monday and Wednesday for approximately two and a half months. This scheduling option is great for people who work during some weekdays. The classes can be taken in the evening, too, from 3 pm to 10 pm, so you can still have your mornings free.

There is also a fast track option for those students who want to get their certification in a hurry. Those classes meet from 8 am to 4 pm Monday through Thursday for one month.
